We organize our work around these 6 areas:
The mission of the Clean Transportation Program is to increase the use of alternative fuels and advanced transportation technologies. Working with the government, non-profits, and businesses, the Clean Transportation team is helping diversify fuel supplies and support cleaner, more vibrant local and state economies. Our goal – cleaner air and greater energy security.
Learn MoreRenewable energy is derived from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, tides, biomass, and geothermal heat that replenish themselves continuously. The Center provides information and support to energy users, energy providers, and other energy stakeholders.
Learn MoreThe Center offers several opportunities for professional development and the highest level of continuing education in renewable energy technologies. Some trainings are recurring while others are created and offered sporadically throughout the year.
Learn MoreThe Energy Policy Program conducts research and analysis to provide a better understanding of how renewable energy and energy efficiency are best promoted through public policy. We assist businesses by providing information regarding state regulations and tax policies as well as other resources.
Learn MoreWe work to reduce energy intensity by incorporating clean power technologies such as combined heat and power (CHP). We offer three levels of energy efficiency assessments including technical assistance, feasibility studies, and policy considerations for facilities throughout the Southeastern United States. We support sustainability objectives for energy users in industrial, commercial, and institutional areas.
Learn MoreOur sustainability services provide an opportunity for clients to utilize multiple resources within the Center. Our expertise is packaged to help facilitate sustainability objectives including environmental impacts, energy use, operating cost reductions, and employee engagement.
